Description:
The NLC-RISC Staff Conference offers programming designed for risk pool staff to learn about relevant trends, programs, services, and best practices in a variety of coverage lines and functional areas. Conference sessions have been tailored to the many professional interests of our members. This event also creates opportunities for risk pool staff from across the country to network in a non-competitive environment.
The 2024 NLC-RISC Staff Conference will take place at The Hotel Champlain in Burlington, Vermont from October 20-23. We will be hosting our Welcome Reception on Sunday evening with sessions beginning in the morning on Monday, October 21. Our conference will also end earlier on Wednesday to allow attendees to explore Burlington.
Conference Highlights:
- Dynamic sessions and opportunities for interaction with peers from across the country
- A new conference schedule based on past-attendee request: Sunday arrival and Opening Reception and Wednesday early-afternoon end-time to see beautiful Burlington Vermont
- A first day of the conference dedicated to opportunities for cohorts to meet and network:
- New Staff Welcome Breakfast and refreshed New Staff Workshop
- A dedicated two-hour block for each Functional Area to meet
- Young Pooling Professionals (YPP) Event
- Substantive sessions of relevance or of general interest for every functional area throughout the conference
- A Mentor Program breakfast
- Annual Business Meeting
- An optional Burlington Team Scavenger Hunt on Tuesday afternoon (Included with Registration Fee)
- Informal outdoor reception following the Scavenger Hunt
- Closing General Session and Lunch on Wednesday

- Full Registration: $800
- Guest Registration: $400

- Before October 1: Full refund
- October 1 – October 20: 50% Refund
- No show: Forfeiture of registration fee
