Event Description:
The NLC-RISC Staff Conference offers programming designed for risk pool staff to learn about relevant trends, programs, services, and best practices in a variety of coverage lines and functional areas. Conference sessions have been tailored to the many professional interests of our members. This event also creates opportunities for risk pool staff from across the country to network in a non-competitive environment.
The 2025 NLC-RISC Staff Conference will take place at The Graduate Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland from October 26-29. The Welcome Reception will take place on Sunday evening, with sessions beginning Monday morning. The conference will wrap up early Wednesday afternoon, allowing time to explore the beautiful and historic Annapolis Maryland.

- Young Pooling Professionals (YPP) Event at GameOn Bar + Arcade. We look forward to late-night games and karaoke with our YPP members!
- Monday, October 27
- Extended New Staff Welcome Breakfast & Discussion – great opportunity for new pool staff and first-time attendees to connect and make the most of their conference experience.
- Tuesday, October 28
- Mentor Program Breakfast – learn more about the program and connect with current participants. Applications for the 2026 program will be open until October 31, 2025.
- Evening Reception hosted by LGIT & the Maryland Municipal League at the historic and beautiful William Paca House and Garden.
Conference Registration Cancellation Policy:
- Before October 4: Full refund
- October 4 – October 26: 50% Refund
- No show: Forfeiture of registration fee
- Conference Registration Deadline: October 3, 2025
